We are excited to host the first in-person National Championship in four years. This page is the starting point for everyone registering to attend the National Championship. Everyone in attendance will need to be registered.
Presiding and Scoring Judges and event volunteers should register at this link.
All tickets and passes must be ordered ahead of time. The registration system will close at 5:00 p.m. Central Time on Monday, April 17. Tickets to events will not be sold on-site.
Registration Categories
Teams — The team’s registration will identify all team members (official and non-official) and coaches. The registration should be completed by either the state coordinator or one of the team’s coaches. The Team Registration Fee provides twelve All-Access Passes for the nine official team members, two coaches (primary teacher and attorney) and the state coordinator.
Non-competing students and additional coaches will need to purchase All-Access Passes to attend the team events.
Observers — Observers include any parents, siblings, friends, chaperones, and any others travelling with the team. All observers must be registered in order to view a competition round and may only attend rounds with their state’s team.
This registration will also allow observers to purchase tickets to the Awards Gala Saturday night.
Courtroom Artists and Courtroom Journalists Contestants — Each state that has a courtroom artist program and/or a courtroom journalist program may register their respective state champion(s) to compete in the Courtroom Artist (Rule 7.1) or Courtroom Journalist (Rule 8.1) contests. Those states without a program may enter an artist or a journalist to compete to gain experience, but they will not be able to enter the contest.
If the artist or journalist is traveling separate from the state’s mock trial team, this registration will allow the artist to identify a companion. Both the artists/journalist and their companion will receive an All-Access Pass. Any others who are traveling with the artist must register themselves as an Observer and, if desired, purchase an Awards Gala ticket.
State Coordinators and NHSMTC Board Members — State Coordinators need to register separately from their team. The Team Registration Fee will cover the State Coordinator’s All-Access Pass. State Coordinators will pick their badge and other items separately from the team during the on-site registration in Little Rock.
